Rome, Italy
HEYO. First I wanna say that I probably walked 30,000 steps every day while we were on the cruise. I didn't realized how hard that would be while I'm pregnant. When we got there, we went to go see the colosseum. It is so huge. I can't even imagine the manpower it took to build it. We didn't get to go inside because the line was so long and it was so hot. OMG I can't complain enough about the heat. 95 degrees every day and humid. My mini fan was a lifesaver and I don't know what I would have done without it. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky every single day we were there. We also went to the Trevi Fountain. It was pretty cool. Apparently during the day you had to pay to take a picture in front of it but since we went at night it was free.
We also went to the St. Peter's Basilica. It was so beautiful there. The Spirit of the Lord was so heavy in there. That is the only way I can describe it. I cried while I was in there. It was so amazing to see a building that grand dedicated to God.
Amalfi Coast, Italy
We went to this beautiful town of Amalfi where the whole theme was lemons. On the boat that took us there, we sat in the front and saw how one of the ship workers had to guide the chain of the anchor as they were pulling it up. It looked so heavy and the guy had old man strength.
There was this huge old church here and it had really weird depictions of Jesus and God. I think it was just the style of art at the time too.
Mt. Etna, Italy
The next day we went up to this ACTIVE VOLCANO. There was smoke coming up out of it and it looked really cool. At this pit stop on the was we saw a man that looked like he lived in the mountain. We didn't speak the same language but he was a cool guy and I got really scared when he caught me taking a picture of him.
This is me pointing to the top of the mountain. Gus and I also posed in front of some real lava rocks. We got to touch reach ashes from the lava and I thought that was pretty neat.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa and Florence, Italy
Here we have me holding up the tower with Luka's help of course. We did a 10 HOUR TOUR (which was kinda the death of me). Every day on the cruise was hot but this day felt especially bad. We were all drenched and when the bus driver picked us up, I told him I love him. When we were walking around in Florence the tour guide told us that it's one of the best places in the world to get gold. I didn't really want to buy anything but I thought it would be interesting to go into one of the shops just to see what they had. So... I ended up finding a beautiful ring. None of the pieces had price tags on them so I already knew it wasn't gonna happen. Gus talked me into trying it on and we asked about the price. It was super expensive. I said we shouldn't get it. We ended up getting it. I couldn't feel my face and my whole body was sweating inside the shop. I've never let myself get something that expensive for fun. But, I am very happy with it and I think it's so cool that I got a ring from Florence.
Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France
This was our first French town on the cruise. I was this old town on top of a hill. The streets were so narrow and cute. I think this was my favorite stop from our trip because of how authentic it looked. I got to eat a ham and Swiss croissant which is my favorite breakfast food at home. It tasted so good. I wish I could have a French Ham and Swiss croissant every day.
Marseille, France
This was my least favorite stop of the cruise. The city itself was kinda cool, but at this point we had been going on an excursion every day and I was tired and hot. Also we went to the beach and I was so excited because I wanted to swim in the water at least once. The beach was so ghetto that the police officer there told Gus to hide his chain. It was also very crowded and we saw a bunch of naked little girls. I think it was a nude beach but that made me so uncomfortable. They were like 3 years old and their parents just let them run around with old men around. I was really sad that day because we went to the beach just for me and it felt like the day was ruined. ALSO IT TOOK 1 1/2 HOURS FOR OUR UBER TO COME. That was horrible because we were sticky from the sea and there was no wind to make the heat better.
Barcelona, Spain
Our very last stop was Barcelona. We stayed there for 2 nights and it was so fun. We were able to meet up with both sides of the family here and have dinner together. It was so nice. I was able to see my uncle and little cousin that I don't see very often. We also saw so many works of art by Gaudi. He's the one who made the plans for the Placa de la Segrada Familia. He also designed a whole park (that was meant to be a neighborhood but many rich people hated all the rules so that plan failed). That park was so beautiful I almost cried. Gaudi had taken a lot of inspiration from nature and he said that his art is just him reorganizing God's creation. All of his designs were also very functional and everything had a purpose. I loved how colorful everything was. But honestly, the city of Barcelona itself reminded me a lot of Chicago. Except, it felt a lot safer.

Moments on the Ship
Nothing crazy here, just some pictures I wanted to include
This is just a ring Gus got me in Florence. It's so nice, I couldn't feel my face when he bought it.
