RAVE JESUS
I'm not gonna lie, I did not have high expectations for this rave. I love the music this DJ releases, but I had no idea what the crowd was going to be like or how good the energy was going to be. I was also going with Gus and given that he doesn't like EDM, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it that much. BUT, it was so good. 10/10 would definitely recommend. He's an amazing artist and his music was so good. There were actually way more people than I expected too and everyone was dancing and having a good time. Instead of getting sprouted, I also got JESUSED. It was so cute. I honestly could feel God's presence so strongly there. I never thought that I would have an opportunity to go to a rave and solely just worship God. That was pretty cool. Me and Gus had a really good time and then we got tacos after so it was a perfect way to end the night.
Matcha Tasting
Girl don't even get me started on matcha. I saw a couple of popular matcha cafes in Chicago that I've been really wanting to try. Me, Dari, and CJ all went to try it out. At the first place we had to wait 40 minutes for our matcha but it was actually so worth it. They also were selling pre-rolled sushi and it was so good. I would totally buy it again. The second place we went to was selling sparkling matcha??? It's what I'm holding in the picture on the right. I was so curious about it, so I just had to get it. It was actually so delicious. I would definitely get it again in the summer.
Flops of the day
After going matcha tasting, we wanted to go check out some vintage stores. I've always wanted to try vintage shopping in the city. All of them sucked. What vintage store sells SUPREME?! You know the kind of expensive clothes that looks dirty, used and washed up, but you look at the price tag and it's $250? Yeah. That's what we found. So we decided to leave the city and go to a virtual arcade where we were physically playing the games. We had to run around on screens and press colored buttons on the walls. That was so fun, but we were severely sweaty and exhausted after 60 minutes.
Next Up: Valentine's Day
It was such a perfectly chill Valentine's Day. Me and Gus went to get heart-shaped pizza, and then to watch a movie. We watched "Send Help" which we rated a 7/10. It was pretty entertaining, but not the best we've seen. That's pretty much it though! We just spent the whole day in love :).
Extra Pictures I Wanted To Include
Here we have: A burrito bowl I made that was delicious, selfie of me on Valentine's Day, sticky rice mango matcha, Valentine's Day presents Gus got me, selfie of me when I actually put on makeup, and the bouquet Gus got me.
Thank you guys for reading!
The song of the week is: City by Claire Rosinkranz
Super duper summery and exactly the vibe I've been needing recently.
